Job Title : EW Trials SME

Overview of the Role:

The electronic warfare Trail SME is responsible for planning and designing all electronic warfare-related tests conducted at the Range. Electronic warfare Trail SME will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure that test objectives are clearly defined and that testing procedures are executed effectively.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with technical specialists, project managers, engineers, and clients to plan electronic warfare tests and trials
• Engage with clients to understand project objectives, technical specifications, and desired outcomes.
• Work with Instrumentation Leads to establish the most effective data capture strategy for electronic warfare tests, ensuring comprehensive data collection to meet project objectives.
• Assist Range Conducting Officers in developing daily plans for executing electronic warfare tests
• Ensure that appropriate safety measures are applied to all electronic warfare-based tests and trials, including the implementation of safety traces and hazardous activity risk assessments.
• Work with safety officers and regulatory authorities to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure the production of test reports in accordance with customer requirements and accurately document test procedures, results, observations, and recommendations.
• Working with the instrumentation leads, ensure that the Remaya equipment strategy for the Range matches the client’s needs into the future.
• Assisting in the development and review of project documentation, training content, and manuals
• Conducting thorough research to stay updated on changes in their field of expertise
• Contributing to the development of policies and procedures relevant to their area of expertise
• Participate in audits as required

Prerequisite Qualifications:

Mandatory:

• Previous experience in planning and coordinating electronic warfare tests or trials.
• Understanding of safety principles, range management practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of data capture techniques, instrumentation, and test planning methodologies.
• Familiarity with electronic warfare testing standards and protocols .

• Knowledge of land, sea and air defence equipment
• Knowledge of land, sea and air military operations
