Job Overview
The role of Executive Assistant to the Principal and SLT is a pivotal position at the heart of our school’s leadership. You will be the organisational backbone, communication bridge, and calm voice of reason in a fast-paced and people-centred environment. You will work closely with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure that the school runs smoothly, front-of-house operations reflect our high standards, and every parent, staff member, and visitor experiences our warm, professional culture

Key Responsibilities
Executive Support & Leadership Liaison
- Manage the Principal’s diary, communication, correspondence and confidential records.
- Serve as the key point of contact between the Principal/SLT and internal or external stakeholders.
- Represent the Principal with professionalism and discretion, acting as their voice in day-to-day coordination of key messages, staff briefings, meetings, and school-wide expectations.
- Assist with budgeting and financial administration, including accurate tracking of Principal-related expenses.
- Line manage the reception team, ensuring outstanding customer service and day-to- day operational excellence.
- Oversee all front-of-house procedures, including visitor management, school email and phone communications, and hospitality for events and inspections.
- Ensure that all reception and administrative staff uphold the school’s values and culture in their daily interactions.
- Work closely with the Marketing Officer, Admissions Team, Facilities and IT to ensure smooth running of parent-facing events, welcome days, and community celebrations.
- Support the planning and delivery of parent engagement experiences, from information evenings to cultural and award events.
- Act as a key liaison with families, handling sensitive communications and responding to queries with care and clarity.
- Take lead responsibility for updating the DSIB/inspection portal and preparing required documentation for visits.
- Coordinate logistics and communication during external inspections, accreditations, and audits, acting as the central liaison for all departments.
- Ensure the school is inspection-ready at all times by maintaining accurate records and clear protocols.
- Maintain clear systems and protocols for SLT communication, scheduling, and school-wide updates.
- Proactively identify and solve issues, coordinating across departments to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Model a solution-focused mindset and demonstrate emotional intelligence and professionalism in every interaction.
- Support whole-school initiatives aligned to wellbeing, safety, and community culture.
- Emphasizes the importance of safety in all areas of the curriculum, communicating to the pupils the importance of a responsible attitude towards personal safety, the safety of others and respect for School’s property and equipment
- Safeguard students
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
- Assist in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct
- Ensure that, all the necessary health and safety rules and procedures are being followed
- Maintain an awareness of all the health and safety measures to be taken when in school
- Exceptionally organised and dependable, with outstanding attention to detail.
- A calm, proactive communicator who interacts positively with students, staff, and families.
- Discreet, trustworthy, and confident working with highly confidential information.

- Monday to Thursday: 7:15am – 3:45 pm and Friday: 7:15 am – 12:15 pm
- Availability required outside regular hours for key school events inspections or emergencies, as agreed with the Principal.
- Follows academic staff leave, excluding the summer where a return is expected two weeks prior to the start of the academic year to support leadership preparation and new staff induction.
- Reports directly to the Principal.
- Works closely with the Heads of School, SLT, Reception, and cross-functional leads (Marketing, Admissions, Facilities, IT, HR).
