Expert Solution Architect/Business Intelligence

Job Description

Oversee the design, development, and implementation of reporting solutions, including reports, interactive dashboards, and self-service BI tools ensuring the utilization of appropriate BI technologies and tools, such as data visualization platforms, SQL databases, ETL processes, and analytical tools. Work closely with the technical team to define data models, data transformations, and data integration strategies to support reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

Data Visualization adhoc Analysis and self-service:

• Ensure the creation of visually appealing and user-friendly reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that effectively convey insights and enable data-driven decision-making.
• Implement best practices for data visualization and design principles to enhance the clarity and usability of reporting solutions. and oversee the development of standardized report templates, style guides, and documentation to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Facilitate ad hoc data analysis requests from business stakeholders, leveraging advanced analytical techniques and tools.
• Drive the implementation of self-service BI capabilities, enabling business users to access and analyze data independently.
• Promote user training and adoption of self-service BI tools, empowering business users to generate insights and reports on their own.
• Business Requirements Analysis:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements. and conduct thorough analysis of business requirements, data sources, and existing infrastructure to determine the most appropriate reporting solutions.
  
  

Quality Assurance And Governance

• Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of reporting solutions by implementing robust data validation and quality assurance processes.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies, security measures, and access controls to protect sensitive information.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to align reporting solutions with regulatory and compliance requirements.
  
  

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in BI tools and technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, Business Objects, Qlik, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of telecom data modelling, data warehousing, data governance and ETL processes.
• Experience on SQL databases, data manipulation, and query optimization on huge data environments like data warehouses and Data Lakes.
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices and UI/UX design principles.
• Experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure.
• Having experience working in both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).
  
  

Telecom Business Acumen

• Deep understanding of business reporting requirements and the ability to translate them into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with telecom industry-specific reporting needs and metrics.
• Ability to align reporting solutions with business strategies and goals.
  
  

Analytical Thinking

• Strong analytical skills to analyse complex business requirements and data sources.
• Proficiency in data analysis techniques and ability to derive actionable insights from data.
• Problem-solving mindset to identify and resolve reporting-related challenges
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science or Engineering or similar with minimum of 5 years of experience.
