Facilities Officer

Synopsis

Facilities Officer is a project-focused role responsible for coordinating project task activities with end-user departments to support day-to-day operations while ensuring project objectives are achieved.

The role involves monitoring project progress and contractor performance, identifying and reporting areas of non-conformance, and highlighting opportunities for added value.

Accountabilities

• Project delivery requires the project manager to oversee the end-to-end staged process, from definition to preparing work scopes, procurement, execution of the works and final handover. The result is to meet the approved business case objectives.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and end-users to ensure the project deliverables are
• Ensure a safe workplace by conducting regular inspections, approving risk assessments and method statements submitted by contractors working at Etihad Engineering site and conducting audits and reports of non-compliance.
• Ensure compliance to the Quality and Safety Management process by monitoring the standard of work undertaken by the contractors and compliance with Etihad Engineering procedures, in particular the permit to work, the UAE regulations and code of practice. Report all non-compliance.
• Undertake safety audits, to ensure that the contractor is complying with their own task controls, Etihad Engineering policies and safe work practices.
• Coordinate with Service Delivery team to ensure that the asset handover is effective between the project and operational team.
• Area inspections to ensure safe working practices the presentation and housekeeping standards reflect Etihad Engineering overall performance

Education & Experience

• Minimum Diploma Level in Building related qualification.
• IOSH Certificate
• APMP Certificate for Project Management Role
• Minimum years of 5 years’ experience in development / construction projects
