- Accurately process payments through cash, credit, or debit card.
- Issue receipts and change, maintaining accuracy in every transaction.
- Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Keep track of cash drawer amounts and report any discrepancies.
- Ensure that all payment records are properly documented and securely stored.
- Enter take-out and dine-in orders into the POS system correctly.
- Communicate special instructions or allergies to the kitchen staff as needed.
- Coordinate with waiters and kitchen staff to ensure that guests orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
- Keep the cashier station clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., receipt paper, cash bags).
- Assist with maintaining overall cleanliness in the dining area as needed.
- Suggest additional items or promotions to enhance the dining experience.
- Inform customers about daily specials, events, and loyalty programs.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including food safety and cash-handling protocols.
- Report any suspicious activities or irregularities to management promptly.
