Job Overview
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Field Engineer III – Completions is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising advanced completions operations in the field. This includes the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of completion tools and systems, ensuring safety compliance and successful delivery of services to clients.
Responsibilities
Lead completions operations at the wellsite, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
Oversee installation and testing of upper and lower completions equipment, including smart completion systems.
Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support during field operations.
Communicate effectively with clients, rig crews, and internal teams to coordinate job activities.
Prepare detailed field reports and documentation of job performance.
Ensure adherence to Weatherford’s Quality Management System and HSE policies.
Train and mentor junior engineers and field personnel.
Monitor job progress and recommend improvements to enhance performance and safety.
Skills
Strong technical understanding of completion tools and technologies (e.g., packers, flow control devices, fiber optics, gauges).
Field leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in real-time.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in preparing job reports and documentation.
Team-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and in remote locations.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on field experience in completions, preferably including smart completions.
Valid oilfield certifications (H2S, Well Control, etc.).
Previous experience with Weatherford or similar service company is an advantage.
