Job Profile:

  • As a Field Support Engineer specializing in Radar Systems, you will provide technical support, maintenance, and operational assistance for radar equipment deployed in various locations (Naval and Land Systems). Your role will involve working closely with our clients and internal teams to ensure optimal system performance, troubleshoot issues, and offer on-site support. You will act as the primary technical contact for the customer and will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and availability of Thales radar systems.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide field support for installation, configuration, and maintenance of radar systems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues on-site and remotely.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system updates.
  • Manage system configurations, including version control, documentation, and change tracking to ensure consistency and compliance with client requirements.
  • Offer training and guidance to end-users and maintenance personnel on radar systems operation and best practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, project management) to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Support supply chain and logistics tasks, such as tracking spare parts, ensuring timely delivery, and managing the logistics for field maintenance activities.
  • Prepare detailed reports on support activities, system performance, and customer feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while working in the field.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest radar technologies and Thales product offerings.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience with radar systems (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).
  • Strong technical knowledge of radar hardware and software, including signal processing and calibration.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and test equipment.
  • Experience with RF systems, antennas, and electronic warfare systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Fluent in English is mandatory. French, Dutch and Arabic are a plus.
  • Ability to obtain Security clearance to access military sites.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (domestic and international), to work on-call and shifts, in various field environments and conditions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
