Your Mission

As a Finance Associate, you will play an integral role in managing the financial success of our company. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver outstanding financial results and make informed decisions that fuel our growth.

Your responsibilities will range from supporting financial planning and analysis to managing accounting and treasury functions and periodic financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Process Management: Oversee day-to-day financial operations and transactions. Implement and maintain efficient and standardized financial processes. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Cash Management: Monitor and manage daily cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity in all accounts. Work closely with banks and optimize banking relationships. Execute and reconcile financial transactions.
  • Financial Systems and Tools: Manage the accounting and other financial systems. Collaborate with IT to implement upgrades and enhancements. Ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial systems.
  • Accounts Payable: Manage and monitor vendors payments on a regular basis. Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable. Perform creditor analysis and ageing on a periodic basis. Address and resolve any vendor payment related issues.
  • Accounts Receivable: Generate and send out invoices to clients in a timely manner. Monitor accounts receivable ageing and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely closing of books on a monthly basis. Accounting entries to be recorded before end of the accounting period. Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports. Assist in analysis and preparation of financial data. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and accounting policies.
  • Compliance and Internal Controls: Monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards and accounting policies. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Assist in internal reporting and external audits.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to understand and meet their financial needs. Provide support and insights to facilitate decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting activity and maintain department and product level profit & loss.

  • You have strong analytical and numerical skills, familiarity with financial models and tools, proficiency in financial analysis software such as Excel, Power BI or other analytical packages is essential.
  • You enjoy working independently and are able to take informative decisions independently
  • You enjoy making friends, having fun
  • As the candidate is applying for the role in a fintech company, they should possess a good understanding of the fintech sector, its workings, and the regulations governing it.
  • A strong finance associate should be able to adapt to the fast-paced fintech environment, keep up with industry changes and stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CMA) will be added advantage
  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting and financial operations
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners
  • Exhibits business judgment, strong analytical, coordination, and decision-making skills
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and internal controls.
  • Strong demonstrated use of Dynamics 365 Business Central and reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau.
