Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is currently seeking a Finance Executive (UAE National) to support our growing Finance team. The successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.

Built over seven hectares, the bespoke campus is situated within minutes of New York University Abu Dhabi and the beautiful Saadiyat Beach, as well as the magnificent Louvre Abu Dhabi and the vibrant Berklee College of Music.
In addition to the broad academic curriculum, our daily routine offers a wealth of opportunities that allow pupils to explore their full range of talents in fine arts, performing arts, music, sport and other activities such as gymnastics, golf, horse riding and debating to name but a few. The purpose of this role is to efficiently manage the daily operations of cash collection and reporting. In order to support the school’s management of its cash flow and obligations. To also ensure the protection of company assets and reputation and additionally support the wider school that can be reasonably expected from the Finance department.

Responsibilities
Main Duties:
- Billing, collection, liasing with customers to collect the receivables.
- Ensure timely collection and reduction/avoid bad debt.
- Respond to parents’ requirements and inquiries relating to fees payment.
- Manage the collection process including reminders and warning.
- Follow up late payments and returned cheques.
- Provide student list with fee outstanding with School and HQ Credit Control team for decision making and expedite the collection.
- Timely and accurate billing, collection and reduction of bad debt.
- Responsible for delivering a high-quality customer service in schools.
- Ensure Invoices are issued accurately & ensure 100% completeness through Sales validation.
- Issue receipts daily with accurate information such as bank reference number, date, etc and ensure the reason is updated against all unidentified transactions and shared with respective school accountants for preparing bank reconciliation statement
- Improve collection and reduce bad debt below 0.25%
- Accurate and Timely reporting for AR reports for decision making
- Prepare revenue recognition accurately at student level in compliance with IFRS 15, with the support of School Accountant
- Process Supplier payments after the invoice approval.
- Ensure the enrolment/re-enrolment/Internal transfer & leaver processes are followed in compliance with policies and procedures
- Validate refund requests from school and initiate payments through AR module and handover the documents to School Accountant for payment
- Provide finance clearance for leavers and internal transfers after due diligence checks and validation
- Ensure month end activities are performed in a timely manner & support school accountant to close books accurately.
- Support internal and external audit queries, provide supporting documents and resolve all audit queries within the timeline
- Initiate process improvement wherever possible to achieve finance excellence
- Support & Enhance digitalization of billing and collection based on feedback from parents
- Improve customer experience by responding to emails and calls in a professional manner
- Update annual fee structure in the system and ensure to review with AFM-CC
- Attend weekly AR review meetings with the team and provide the level of support required from cluster credit control function.
- Prepare suspension list with appropriate comments and share with school Principal after endorsement from school accountant
- Ensure to send finance fee follow up letter’s timely manner in compliance with ADEK regulation
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelors Degree
- 0-3+ Years experience
- Fluent English communication skills, written and oral. Arabic is an added advantage.
- Attention to detail with diligent follow up, and able to execute in a timely manner.
- Skilled in multi-tasking and handling pressure
- Ability to be detail focused when required whilst maintaining sight of the big picture
- Deadline oriented and take ownership of work
- Forethought and forward planning
- Capable of influencing people and talented in networking with cultural sensitivity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical capabilities and hands on experience in MS Office presentations and other reporting tools
