ROLE AND DEPARTMENT

We’re looking for a Graduate Trainee to join our Finance. This is a newly created role that will see you supporting several work functions to ensure business continuity, such as accounts payables, accounts receivables, master data management, indirect tax, corporate tax, cash management, understanding audits, projects and liaising with auditors and internal stakeholders. This function will be working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Support accounts receivables team in the follow up with key customers directly where necessary to ensure smooth and fast collections
  • Receiving, tracking and coordinating with SSC to ensure all debit notes received from customers are processed on time
  • Working with the co-pilots/ business to ensure coding of trade investment credit notes, are done timely
  • Support the accounts payables team for all payments related activities.
  • Receive and track invoices relating to Fixed Cost, A&CP and Intercompany
  • Coordinate with SSC & Business in this regard and provide required support to both parties
  • Provide support to accounting managers for month end close activities.
  • Cash management (including preparation of workings for placement/movement of funds in banks on a timely basis).
  • Maintain organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.
  • Review and implementation of SOX and IFC controls.
  • Regular review of SOX controls and ensuring all necessary approvals are in place
  • Make and implement recommendations by internal/ external auditors to improve SOX processes and procedures.
  • Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely payment of VAT liability and filing of VAT returns.
  • Co-ordinate with consultants to file refund for VAT, collate documentation for submission with FTA for audits by FTA
  • Assist in registration for entities for corporate income tax, review of draft returns for tax, payment of necessary taxes
  • Keeping up to date on any changes in law which impact the company from a VAT and Corporate Income tax perspective
  • Assist in maintaining master data for customers
  • Assist in maintaining pricing condition for various products / customers in SAP
  • Continuously review and enhance financial reporting processes, seeking opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency
  • Assist in coordinating with multiple auditors, providing details to auditors, prepare financials, resolving queries etc.
  • Ensuring that all compliances are completed within time for the Coty entities
  • Participate and support ad hoc projects time to time given by management

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelour's degree in Finance, Accounting and similar degrees
  • 0-2 years of experience in an FMCG or Financial Services company
  • Operational Skills
  • Understanding of finance, audit, tax and internal control principles
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Planning skills
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Sound communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and support multiple client projects at the same time
  • Attention to detail, organization, and follow through
  • Nice to have: A working understanding of web technology tools
