The Role
A highly collaborative and ethical team require a focused Finance Manager for their retail operations in Dubai. With significant growth plans already underway it is essential that you have retail industry experience as you will be analysing and forecasting sales, margins and providing P&L reporting to the senior team. This new position requires a mature and communicative approach to your day-to-day activities as you will be the sole finance professional in the UAE, but have constant interactions with the overseas core finance teams. It is expected that you will be a Finance Business Partner and therefore relied upon for your regional and retail finance expertise. Utilising your analytical skills to improve performance through data insights, you will also provide data on current and forecasted trends, financial modeling and scenario planning, cost analysis, and take a deep dive into the overall profit and loss to obtain firm control of all opEX and capEx actuals. Acting as the main point of contact for banking relationships, managing bank guarantees and renewals, the Finance Manager will also be responsible for local invoice approvals, supplier and services payments and maintaining control of the budget. Mitigating gaps and risk by ensuring polices and procedures are fit for purpose, this position reports directly to the senior team and oversees one finance administration team member. Tax planning and complete regulatory filing and compliance will fall under the Finance Manager’s responsibilities, taking the accounts up to end of year audit and liaising with external auditors and tax planner to do so.
Requirements
Exceptional analytical skills and a high level of detail, the Finance Manager should have 5 years of experience within a global MNC retail organisation. Finance qualifications such as ACCA or CMA are expected. The successful candidate will bring a collaborative and team orientated approach and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
