Job Brief:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support strategic decision-making in a leading MEP and construction firm. This role will focus on project costing, sales performance evaluation, and profitability analysis to drive financial optimization and support business growth.
Job Responsibilities:
Costing & Budget Analysis
- Analyze direct and indirect project costs to support accurate costing and pricing strategies.
- Evaluate cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project and departmental budgets.
Sales & Revenue Analysis
- Track sales trends and gross margins by product, customer, and business segment.
- Prepare sales performance dashboards and monthly reports for management.
- Support sales forecasting and planning processes.
Project Financial Analysis
- Monitor project financial performance, including cost-to-complete and budget vs. actual tracking.
- Conduct post-project reviews and profitability analysis.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment with financial targets.
Reporting & Insights
- Develop financial models to evaluate investment opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and management reporting.
Collaboration & Compliance
- Work closely with project managers, procurement, and operations to collect relevant data.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial policies.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CMA/CPA is a plus).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis and auditing, ideally in a project-based or construction environment.
- Strong understanding of costing methodologies and financial modeling.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
