As a Financial Crime Team Lead, you will be responsible for implementing Capital.com’s AML framework, leading part of the Financial Crime team to achieve defined deliverables, and ensuring compliance with regulatory best practices. You will act as the key link between Back Office and Compliance, driving collaboration, monitoring team performance, and ensuring KPIs and quality standards are consistently met. The role includes overseeing risk assessments, reviewing production output, and strengthening internal controls while fostering a proactive culture of compliance through continuous training and performance development.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing Financial-Crime team, ensuring individual and collective deliverables are achieved within set timelines and quality standards
- Monitor team performance and KPIs, reviewing productivity, quality of investigations, and adherence to service levels
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support continuous staff development and training
- Oversee risk assessments, investigations, and escalations related to financial crime, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting, ensuring audit readiness and regulatory transparency
- Identify and address process inefficiencies, recommending improvements to strengthen internal controls and operational effectiveness
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, AML/CFT laws, and industry best practices, ensuring these are reflected in team operations
- Lead and deliver training sessions to enhance awareness of financial crime risks and promote a strong compliance culture across the business
- Proven experience (2–3 years) in Financial Crime, AML, or Audit within the brokerage or trading industry
- Solid understanding of MENA regulatory frameworks and emerging AML/CFT trends
- Strong analytical mindset and advanced Excel/data analysis skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, assess risk, and implement practical, scalable solutions
- Skilled in cross-functional communication, building trust across teams and departments
- Strong presentation and reporting abilities, with clarity in both written and verbal communication
