About The Job
Fleet Operations Officer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of our organization's fleet. You will oversee vehicle maintenance, driver schedules, route planning, fuel management, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Your primary goal is to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the fleet while minimizing costs and maximizing productivity.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Fleet Management: Oversee the entire fleet, including vehicles, drivers, and supporting equipment.
Vehicle Maintenance: Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule to ensure that all fleet vehicles are in optimal working condition.
Driver Management: Supervise and coordinate driver schedules, ensuring compliance with regulations and efficient route planning.
Route Planning: Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and meet customer delivery expectations.
Fuel Management: Implement strategies to reduce fuel costs, monitor fuel consumption, and ensure fuel efficiency across the fleet.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards, laws, and company policies, conducting safety training, and overseeing safety initiatives.
Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve fleet efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
Data Analysis: Analyse operational data, such as vehicle maintenance records, fuel consumption, and driver performance metrics, to identify areas for improvement.
Vendor Management: Liaise with suppliers and service providers to negotiate contracts, monitor service quality, and manage costs effectively.
Cost Control: Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining high-quality service and safety standards.

Requirements
Professional Experience
- Proven experience in fleet management and operations.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation safety regulations and logistics principles.
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and performance measurement.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Minimum qualifications:
2-Certification in Fleet Management
