Location: We hire with a focus on Dubai and Europe. For this role, we prefer candidates who are either based in Dubai or working remotely within +/- 4 hours GST time.

We're looking for a proactive and agile Blockchain Forensic Investigator to join our Compliance & Investigations team. You’ll take strong ownership of analysing virtual currency transactions, tracing illicit activity, and producing actionable intelligence for internal teams and law enforcement.

This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with shifting priorities and embracing change as part of the daily routine. You'll be at the forefront of tackling fraud, money laundering, and emerging crypto threats while working closely with compliance, legal, and cybersecurity teams. This position requires someone who is well-adjusted to a remote work culture and collaborating with distributed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth blockchain investigations using OSINT and specialist analytics tools like TRM Labs, Chainalysis, and Etherscan
  • Trace illicit activity and produce clear, actionable intelligence reports to support legal and compliance teams
  • Proactively perform risk assessments on high-value or suspicious transactions, identifying patterns and recommending mitigation strategies
  • Develop and support rapid response protocols for high-risk incidents, ensuring clear escalation paths and follow-up actions are in place
  • Maintain detailed records of all investigative steps, freeze actions, and flags to support legal and compliance workflows
  • Collaborate closely with legal, finance, and support teams to align investigative findings with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2–4+ years of hands-on experience in blockchain investigations, financial crime analysis, or crypto compliance
  • Proven expertise in using blockchain forensic tools and open-source platforms (e.g., TRM Labs, Chainalysis, Elliptic, Arkham) to trace illicit funds and map wallet activity
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing blockchain transaction patterns and recognising suspicious behavior across digital asset ecosystems, including cross-chain and DeFi activity
  • Prior experience working with law enforcement agencies or responding to legal requests is highly desirable

Skills

  • Strong background in open-source intelligence (OSINT) methodologies to identify wallet owners, trace the flow of digital assets, and produce comprehensive reports
  • Ability to recognize and interpret technical identifiers that support remote threat investigations, including usernames, hashed passwords, email addresses, IP addresses, crypto artifacts, mail headers, and server/domain intelligence
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to connect multiple data points across different platforms and tools
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to explain complex blockchain concepts through verbal, written, and visual storytelling for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Join a young, creative team in a fast-paced and supportive environment
  • We’re open to new ideas — if you’ve got a vision, pitch it and make it happen
  • Enjoy competitive pay that matches your skills and experience
