Job Brief:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager to lead our technical and sales operations within the oil & gas and sustainable energy sectors. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership, technical expertise, and strong business development capabilities, particularly within the Abu Dhabi energy market.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead a team of technical and sales professionals engaged in oil & gas services and sustainable energy solutions.
  • Maximize team potential by driving sales performance, setting KPIs, and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies to enhance revenue and expand technical services.
  • Supervise and support the training and development of technical staff, with a focus on both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, international partners, and solution providers.
  • Establish new relationships in emerging fields such as green and sustainable energy.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and identify opportunities for innovation and product development.
  • Oversee compliance and management of agency agreements, ICV registration and enhancement, and technical representation processes.
  • Represent the company in professional forums, conferences, and industry networks to enhance brand visibility and market presence.
  • Ensure alignment of operations with the company’s strategic goals and revenue targets.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) from a reputable university.
  • A master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is highly desirable.
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in the Abu Dhabi oil & gas market, with strong relations with key stakeholders.
  • In-depth technical knowledge across oil & gas operations and project execution.
  • Familiarity with green energy technologies, sustainability development processes, and cost analysis.
  • Experience in handling international supplier relations, agency agreements, and ICV-related processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Proven ability to identify new market opportunities and lead successful business development initiatives.
