Behind the scenes, our Engineering team ensures that all systems, equipment, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. As a General Mechanic, you will support the upkeep and repair of mechanical systems throughout the hotel, ensuring smooth operations and guest comfort at all times.
What will I be doing?
As General Mechanic, you will:
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, motors, fans, compressors, and other mechanical components.
- Respond promptly to guest room and public area maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of maintenance activities.
- Support energy-saving initiatives by ensuring systems operate efficiently.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to complete projects and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and well-organized.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the smooth functioning of the Engineering department.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Mechanic or Maintenance Technician, preferably within luxury hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and repair techniques.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to urgent issues.
- A detail-oriented and safety-conscious approach.
