We are currently looking for a Global Head of Business Development to join our client on a full-time basis.
Our client is a leading strategic communications firm specializing in delivering high-profile events and public platforms globally. With a deep presence in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry, they are at the forefront of creating transformative moments that shape the global agenda.
The Global Head of Business Development will be responsible for the overall strategy, leadership, and execution of business development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the MICE industry, particularly within the Middle East (with a focus on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), and a proven ability to diversify revenue sources beyond traditional streams managing 3 different regions (Americas, Europe, Middle East). This leader will oversee regional BD Directors, RFP Managers, and the RFP Lead, ensuring alignment in driving growth and securing strategic opportunities globally.

- Develop and implement the global business development strategy, focusing on expanding into new markets, increasing market share, and diversifying revenue streams.
- Work closely with the executive team to set growth targets, prioritize opportunities, and define long-term strategies for the company.
- Utilize deep expertise in the MICE industry to identify new business opportunities in events, forums, public platforms, and partnerships.
- Leverage existing networks within the MICE sector to build relationships with potential clients, sponsors, and strategic partners.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a global team of Regional Business Development Directors, ensuring they meet regional targets and contribute to overall business growth.
- Provide guidance on local market strategies, with particular focus on opportunities in Saudi Arabia and other key Middle Eastern markets.
- Oversee the RFP Managers and RFP Lead, ensuring the team produces high-quality, innovative proposals that meet client needs and secure high-value contracts.
- Ensure the RFP process is efficient, timely, and aligned with the company's strategic goals.
- Identify and execute opportunities to diversify revenue streams beyond the traditional event business, including sponsorships, digital platforms, strategic partnerships, and consultancy services.
- Develop and promote innovative business models to capture new revenue sources, particularly in emerging markets.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring recurring business and identifying upselling opportunities.
- Represent the company in high-profile client meetings, industry events, and international forums, driving business visibility and influence.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the KSA market, identifying and capitalizing on business development opportunities within the Kingdom.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the business development team, providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to drive results.
- Innovative thinker: Ability to bring fresh ideas to the table, particularly in developing new revenue streams and market opportunities.
- Client-focused: Skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Resilient and adaptable: Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Travel: 80-90%
