WSP in the Middle East is looking for a graduate acoustics consultant to join our Middle East Acoustic team (Based in UAE) who is keen to further develop a growing and successful business. The candidate should have a degree in acoustics or a related subject. Experience in acoustic design, particularly architectural, building services and environmental work and knowledge of current standards and procedures would be an advantage.

Experience in architectural software like Autodesk and Sketchup. Experience with acoustic software would be an advantage. Membership of the Institute of Acoustics or a similar professional body is preferred.

As part of WSP’s graduate development initiative, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse, impactful projects while being mentored by experts in the field.

The candidate will have the opportunity to work on major sector projects including large infrastructure, hospitality, commercial, industrial, and residential. All deliverables produced shall comply with WSP standards and procedures.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Apply knowledge of basic acoustic principles in practical applications.
• Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and structural engineers to determine clients' acoustic requirements and provide solutions.
• Support other team members by offering technical assistance and insights.
• Plan, prioritize, and integrate activities into client and WSP systems, programs, and processes.
• Communicate technical findings and results effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Work cross-functionally with management and technical teams at all levels within the organization.
• Contribute to global client projects, demonstrating flexibility, diplomacy, and entrepreneurial thinking.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in acoustics or an engineering discipline is required; other advanced degrees are preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience working in the acoustic field is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic acoustic principles is essential.
• Membership in the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) is preferred.
• Familiarity with software tools such as Odeon, CATT, EASE, Insul, and CadnaA would be an advantage.
• Emirati Family Book is required for this position
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Ability to efficiently plan, prioritize, and execute tasks.
• Eagerness to learn new skills and subject matter.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively within a global client organization.
