The Vacancy
An opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our business in the UAE to help deliver high-level consultancy services.
The successful candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include:
RSK Middle East offers leading consultancy and contracting services in engineering, environmental management and sustainability planning that support the UN Sustainable Development Goals in the region. Since the company’s establishment in Abu Dhabi in 2007, it has been providing consultancy and contracting services to wide-ranging clients undertaking small- and large-scale projects in the Middle East and North Africa. We engage with clients in the oil and gas, energy, infrastructure and construction sectors. All projects adhere to international safety, health, environmental and quality standards. We are supported by our partners and RSK’s global centre of excellence.
All RSK Middle East regional branches work to a common standard of care for employee safety, technical quality and environmental protection following RSK’s ISO-certified system and with country-specific regulations and accreditations. The SHEQ management team maintains the system and records SHEQ performance to meet company and client expectations. Our Middle East teams access state-of-the-art global expertise through RSK’s centre of excellence. This includes social sciences, human health, groundwater risk assessments, sustainable remedial alternatives analyses, remedial solution implementation, environmental and social impact assessments, contractual matters, stakeholder communications and advocacy.

An opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our business in the UAE to help deliver high-level consultancy services.
The successful candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include:
- Participating in a variety of geo-environmental projects for both external clients and for other teams within RSK.
- Assisting with ground investigations and desk studies.
- Soil logging to current set standards, including laboratory scheduling.
- Writing factual and interpretative reports.
- Geotechnical reporting requirements beneficial.
- Preparing factual site investigation data.
- Travel to other offices and sites within the region (as needed).
- Assist with the supervision of ground investigation works (mentoring / shadowing provided).
- Installation and monitoring of a range of instrumentation, including but not limited to: gas & groundwater, inclinometer, vibrating wire piezometer (VWP), magnetic extensometers, water level divers, across numerous, varying bespoke projects.
- Undertake gas & groundwater sampling.
- Timely data management, processing and reporting.
- Oversee monitoring equipment hiring/off-hiring, maintenance, servicing and repairs.
- Adhere to all RSK company policies and adhere to client policies and procedures when on site.
- Hold a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree in geology, hydrogeology, geography, geosciences, environmental or environmental earth science.
- Clear communicator, outgoing and a team player
- Happy to be challenged by demanding site work, and the technical interpretation and reporting of site data
- Ability to follow instructions, work part of a multi-disciplinary team and work solo, using own initiative.
- Commitment to safety and improving ways of working.
- Self-motivated, solutions focused, organised with effective time management.
- Familiar with (leading to competent) use of data management tools and reporting software.
- Adaptable to variable working environments
- This is a full-time post with an employment package commensurate with experience
- Regular training and development will be provided.
