To begin a career in technical safety engineering by supporting the safety team in ensuring the safe design and operation of facilities. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in safety assessments, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL assessments under supervision.
- Support the development of safety documentation, including Safety Philosophies, Fire Protection Strategies, and Emergency Response Plans.
- Participate in design reviews and learn to identify safety-critical elements.
- Learn and model process safety essentials in engineering software (PHAST, Pipenet, etc.)
- Help ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand how safety integrates into design and operations.
- Engage in training and development activities to build technical safety knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Safety, or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong academic performance and interest in safety engineering.
- Final year project or internship related to safety or risk management is a plus.
