Job purpose:

The Graphic Designer will play a crucial role in translating complex briefs into visually compelling designs that align with the company’s brand's identity and objectives. This position requires a highly creative individual with a strong foundation in graphic design principles, capable of producing impactful visuals across various mediums. The incumbent will be responsible for all visual communications within the business, ensuring consistency and quality in every piece of content.

Without this role, the business risks a significant decline in the quality and effectiveness of its visual communications, leading to potential delays in project delivery, missed opportunities for brand engagement, and an overall decrease in the creative output that drives the company's success.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Work closely with our Creative Director across all design collaterals and Geidea regions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop creative solutions
• Develop creative and innovative design concepts for various disciplines, such as branding, graphic design, digital design, and marketing
• Ensure designs align with brand guidelines and company objectives
• Overall project management, prioritising and managing work coming in from multiple regions of the business
• Work within project deadlines to ensure on-time completion
• Work proactively under own initiative and as part of the creative team
• Keep up to date with the latest design trends and technologies
  
  
  

Must Have Technical/professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
• At least 5-8 years of design experience
• Experience in a creative agency a strong plus
• Experience working in branding, advertising, and social media
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Confident in the conceptual process and selling in ideas
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
• Experience working with video and animation a strong plus
• Experience in UI/UX tools (Figma, Miro)
• To take ownership in your projects and consistently deliver a high standard of work
• Core design skills in layout, typography and visual communication
• A portfolio that demonstrates your design skills
• Able to work across both digital and print design
• Hunger to learn – act brave and not stay in a comfort zone
• Ability to work at speed, and multi-task with complex briefs
