Our client is a top 10 full freighter airline operating a fleet of 11 B747-400 freighters providing charter and ACMI capacity in the global air cargo market. They are entering a new strategic phase by commencing scheduled services globally. For this new phase, a new Sharjah-based schedule business division is being established. We seek an experienced Head of Capacity Revenue Management to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine optimal flight timings considering factors such as demand, capacity, and market conditions.
  • Decide on flight frequencies for specific routes to meet demand effectively, avoiding over or under-supply.
  • Efficiently manage available cargo space on flights to maximize revenue while accommodating diverse cargo types.
  • Effectively evaluate and approve capacity requests to ensure optimal allocation.
  • Route Optimization: Identify profitable routes by analyzing demand, competition, and costs.
  • Optimize cargo allocation based on factors like destination, carriers, delivery timeframes, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor capacity forecasts on inbound and outbound flights, including managing overbooking limits.
  • Manage relationships with General Sales Agents (GSAs), coordinate activities, negotiate contracts, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Oversee logistics and operations of the trucking network in EU and UK regions, including partner management, route optimization, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with ground transportation networks to ensure seamless cargo movement to and from airports, particularly in light of Brexit and logistical changes.
  • Adjust pricing based on demand, booking time, cargo type, and route to optimize revenue.
  • Plan and schedule Road Feeder Services (RFS) across the network, identifying trucking gateways.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement team to identify RFS providers, negotiate terms, and finalize trucking agreements.


Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of proven expertise in managing capacity revenue in the air cargo industry, understanding demand-supply dynamics, and optimizing pricing strategies to maximize profitability. Preferably in a managerial or strategic capacity, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the industry's nuances.
  • Ability to assess demand, analyze market conditions, and make data-driven decisions regarding flight schedules and cargo space allocation.
  • Proficiency in optimizing logistics operations, including trucking networks, to ensure efficient cargo movement within the EU, UK, and international contexts.
  • Capability to evaluate and interpret data, forecasting capacity needs, identify profitable routes, and make informed decisions for revenue maximization.
  • Proficiency in negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors, GSAs, and trucking partners to ensure favourable agreements.
  • Track record of effectively collaborating with various stakeholders, including GSAs, procurement teams, and ground transportation networks, to achieve common objectives and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize data analytics and forecasting tools to make informed decisions regarding flight scheduling, capacity allocation, and revenue optimization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and manage relationships with General Sales Agents (GSAs), intermediaries, trucking partners, and other stakeholders involved in cargo transportation.
