Head of Communication

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Head of Communications, Abu Dhabi, reporting to the Head of Communications, India and functionally to Abu Dhabi Managing Director, to join our team based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

About The Role:

Your main missions and responsibilities will be to:

• Raises awareness on Technip Energies brand towards its stakeholders, both internally and externally within the region (Abu Dhabi & Doha offices)
• Provides advice and support to leaders’ communication within the region
• Ensures the quality of communications plans and their alignment with corporate and business priorities
• Coordinates with Corporate PR team regarding media relations and activities, and for social media
• Ensures global and local internal campaigns reach all employees within the region
• Organizes/adapts events at regional level
• Provides regional information and news to Corporate communications (publications and internal and external digital platforms)
• Provides expert support, advice and guidance to the Doha communications focal point as needed
• Supervises local crises within the geographical area in coordination with the Corporate team
• Is responsible for adherence to the brand guidelines for the entire region
• Helps set up some local trade shows in liaison with the Marketing Communications team

• Senior communication profile - Minimum of 10-15 years of significant experience ideally for a B2B company in the energy industry, working with colleagues in multiple locations and across time zones, and for large organizations
• Solid editorial skills. General journalistic experience, ability to write press releases and working with media
• Excellent skills in developing and implementing a communications plan and in managing communication channels
• Prior management of complex projects problem-solving abilities
• Solid understanding of business relationships, with the ability and temperament to work with all levels of employees in the organization.
• Flexible team-player who can establish positive relationships and work effectively and collaboratively with individuals across the organization and at all levels
• Pragmatic, positive and hands-on mindset while keeping hindsight and strategic vision
• Perfect command of English and Arabic
• Education: Higher education in communications, public relations or marketing
