Job Description
The Group is increasingly looking to digital and social learning platforms and tools to deliver world-class innovative learning solutions. The Head of Digital Learning will lead the efforts for enhanced use of digital learning methods and manage the ongoing digital learning strategy for the group.
As the Head of Digital Learning, you play a pivotal part in the development of a strategic approach to technology enhanced learning in the Group and creation of a platform from which to develop and deliver world class digital learning programs. You work with L&D team members to innovate and use technology to its full potential, providing advice on learning practices and curriculum design for supporting both digital and blended learning.
You will lead the scoping and implementation of new digital learning technologies, initiatives and processes, including taking a proactive approach to evaluating the effectiveness of the department’s digital learning platform and identifying and developing resources required for supporting digital learning across the Group.
The role has a number of key focus areas:
Digital Learning Strategy. Develop a digital learning vision and a comprehensive 3-year digital learning strategy with a clear roadmap and investments required.
Digital Learning Platform. Develop a digital learning platform that offers the opportunity to learn anywhere and anytime on any device.
Digital Learning Programs. Develop a model and related operating procedure for digital content creation & curation and communication campaigns to launch and increase utilization of digital programs/content.
Digital Learning Capabilities. Build a strong internal digital learning team with capabilities to develop and deliver content using the digital learning platform.
Digital Learning Governance. Develop and implement a governance framework for ensuring consistent practices on use of digital learning platform and content across the Group.
Digital Learning Budget. Plan for various licenses and content accessibility costs and keep the expenditure within the approved limits.
Team Leadership. Provide leadership in the L&D Program Design Group (consisting of Head, Learning Delivery and Domain L&D Leads) and lead and engage the digital learning team to deliver on its vision and strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills, education and experience:
- Relevant full professional qualification or degree in business, HR or IT
- Globally recognized certification in L&D/digital learning
- Broad based L&D experience of 15 years with at least 5 years in a digital learning leadership role in a globally reputed organization known for its state of art digital learning capability.
- Experience of full production life-cycles of a digital learning platform from design to evaluation is a must
- In depth understanding of current and emerging learning technologies and commercial opportunities in digital learning
- L&D digital program design and development skills
- Understanding of how web-based, media and mobile technologies can be used to enhance learning and assessment
- Expertise in creating engaging, pedagogically sound digital learning resources
- Expertise in supporting online learners and the operational delivery of online courses
- Expertise in creating online assessments
- Project planning and execution skills
- In depth understanding of current and emerging learning technologies and commercial opportunities in digital learning
- L&D digital program design and development skills
- Understanding of how web-based, media and mobile technologies can be used to enhance learning and assessment
- Expertise in creating engaging, pedagogically sound digital learning resources
- Expertise in supporting online learners and the operational delivery of online courses
