Job Brief:

The Head of Finance will lead the company’s entire financial function, ensuring strong governance, accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial leadership. This role is responsible for shaping financial policy, driving long-term financial planning, strengthening internal controls, and acting as a key business partner to senior leadership. The ideal candidate must have strong experience and be able to manage IFRS, Corporate Tax, and VAT requirements in-house without external support.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic financial leadership to the business, owning all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and control.
• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Oversee Corporate Tax and VAT calculations, filings, and compliance independently, ensuring full regulatory alignment.
• Develop the company’s long-term financial strategy, budgeting framework, and forecasting models to support growth and profitability.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership for decision-making.
• Drive cost optimization, margin improvement, and financial efficiency across the company.
• Manage cash flow, treasury, working capital, banking relationships, and financial risk exposure.
• Oversee internal audit processes, statutory audits, and financial reviews, serving as the key finance representative to external authorities and auditors.
• Implement, strengthen, and enforce financial policies, SOPs, and internal controls across all departments.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, business cases, and capital spending proposals to guide strategic growth.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of qualified accounting professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate closely with business unit heads to align operational performance with financial objectives.
• Oversee financial systems improvement and ensure automation, data accuracy, and compliance across platforms and tools.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA is mandatory.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant finance experience with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Must have hands-on experience managing IFRS reporting, Corporate Tax, and VAT in-house (not through external firms).
• Strong exposure to budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, AR/AP, and treasury operations.
• Proven experience leading audits, overseeing financial governance, and driving systems or process improvements.
• Must have experience managing and developing a finance team.
• Strong business partnering skills, able to advise owners, senior management, and department heads.
• Proficient in Zoho Books, QuickBooks, MS Office, and financial modeling tools.
