Job Purpose
Alpha Flight Services, part of dnata, provide culinary and inflight retail services to a wide range of airline customers and operate food and beverage outlets and airport lounges at Sharjah International Airport and Ras Al-Khaimah Airport.
As Head of Finance at Alpha Flight Services, you will report to the MD with functional responsibility to the group CFO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. You will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial activities of the company including stakeholders’ relationship.

As Head of Finance at Alpha Flight Services, you will report to the MD with functional responsibility to the group CFO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. You will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial activities of the company including stakeholders’ relationship.
In This Role, You Will
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the company’s financial function and performance.
- Establish and direct the organization's financial administrative activities and operational procedures to ensure the organization's profits are protected.
- Direct the collections of financial and accounting information and the preparation of budgets reports, forecasts, and monthly reporting.
- Direct and co-ordinate economic research major feasibility studies involving detailed financial analysis and estimates of future returns on proposed investment.
- Give assessments of proposals involving financial expenditure and of the financial status of operational projects.
- Control activities such as credit policy, cash flow and investment policy, costing and expense control, audits as well as the administration of contracts, insurance arrangements.
- Make policy decisions and accept responsibility for operations, performance of staff, achievement of targets and adherence to budgets, standards and procedures.
- Ensures that accounting transactions are in line with the policies and procedures and in accordance with IFRS.
- Oversee the IT function, with the IT Manager and team reporting directly to this role, ensuring alignment of technology initiatives with business needs and operational efficiency.
- Control the selection and training of finance staff, establish lines of control and delegate responsibilities to subordinate staff.
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- A Bachelors Degree in finance or a related field.
- An advanced professional qualification, such as CA, CIMA, or CMA.
- A minimum of 8 years' in aviation catering, airline services, or large-scale F&B/hospitality operations.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience at management level.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and internal controls, as well as relevant local legal requirements.
- Managed CAPEX/OPEX and complex financial projects during periods of expansion or infrastructure growth.
- Worked closely with airport authorities, airlines, or joint venture partners, navigating multi-stakeholder environments.
