The Head of Talent Management is responsible for driving the overall talent management strategy, focusing on the development of knowledge, skills, and competencies at the organizational, functional, team, or individual level across ADAirports. This role includes overseeing the creation of succession and career plans, competency design, leadership selection and assessments, job rotation programs, and managing the Emiratization program.
Responsibilities
- Develop ADAirports talent management philosophy and build a robust talent pipeline for key roles through high potential management, leadership development, and succession planning.
- Lead the competency design process for ADAirports functional and behavioral requirements.
- Oversee the design and enhancement of high potential and career management systems to support a merit-based culture and ensure career progression opportunities.
- Establish and manage a system and process for talent management, ensuring regular updates in line with organizational needs.
- Participate in calibration meetings with business managers to assess high potential employees, recommend candidates for promotion, and review succession plans for key positions.
- Lead training needs analysis in alignment with ADAirports’ strategic goals, functional growth objectives, and skill gaps.
- Decide on and implement training solutions, ensuring they are delivered within budget.
- Liaise with external trainers and vendors to provide best-in-class training aligned with international standards.
- Establish evaluation and follow-up processes to measure training effectiveness, taking action when necessary.
- Foster a culture of learning by establishing platforms for organization-wide knowledge sharing (e.g., seminars, best practice forums).
- Oversee the development program for Emirati university graduates.
- Design and implement job rotation programs across business units.
- Develop leadership skills and capabilities through targeted training programs and individual coaching.
- Ensure timely and effective scheduling, resourcing, and delivery of training programs to meet identified development needs.
- Define goals and key performance indicators for team members and ensure the effective implementation of ADAirports' performance management process.
- Develop talent within the team by providing guidance and coaching to achieve defined goals.
Requirements and Skills

- Ability to develop and implement long-term talent management strategies.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team, fostering a culture of continuous development and high performance.
- Expertise in designing and implementing talent development programs, including succession planning, career development, and high potential management.
- Proficiency in developing and applying competency frameworks for functional and behavioral requirements.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Competence in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring completion on time, within scope, and within budget.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources is preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Learning and Talent Management, preferably within an aviation organization, with at least 5 years in a similar role.
