About The Opportunity

You will head-up the trading business of OKX in the UAE. You set-out the trading strategy in line with the business objectives and operate within the regulatory framework. You understand how to bring value to individual investors and institutions by using a combination of licensed financial products oriented around crypto-assets.

You will work closely with internal partners in product, operations, marketing, business development and legal/compliance teams, both locally and globally, to develop and grow trade volume, deliver the best of OKX to our customers, and ensure smooth and efficient operation of the business. You’ll lead the trading business within the UAE and provide innovative products to our end users.

At your core, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, process-driven environment and be able to adapt and adjust plans on-the-fly. You will possess the ability and willingness to balance customer needs with business priorities and articulate the rationale behind decisions. You must have strong communication skills, have a long-term perspective, be good at prioritisation, and willing to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done whenever needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Responsible for driving volume and liquidity for OKX Middle East which includes identifying the right trading strategies, fee structure and execution tools
• Manage the trading orderbook, ensuring accurate and timely execution of trades and sufficient liquidity is available for trading
• Drive relationships with key orderbook stakeholders including but not limited to various Market Makers, Liquidity Providers and advanced traders
• Continuously monitor and analyze trading conditions, adjusting operational strategies to optimize liquidity and minimize risks
• You have a deep understanding of Crypto, Experience with derivatives product-design, price-setting, risk-management and revenue-calculations.
• Play a key role in partnering with our local compliance and legal teams to support licensing and regulatory efforts in the UAE
  
  
  

What We Look For In You

• Senior experience in trading businesses, derivatives business operations for financial services or FinTech company (ideally head of trading or similar senior positions).
• Good understanding of how the various functions of a regulated financial services business operate (e.g. Compliance, IT, Finance, Risk, Audit) and experience engaging with regulators.
• Great communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international organization.
• Cross functional expertise and the ability to implement global standards while ensuring local compliance.
• Expertise in risk management, with the ability to implement and monitor risk controls effectively.
• Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements in the cryptocurrency space/keeping up with market structure changes and regulations, rather than with what is going on in the markets
• Result-driven self-starter who is excited at the prospect of growing a business in a fast-paced, growth driven sector.

• Ideally, recent crypto exposure and a keen interest in crypto.
• You are already an expert in the cryptocurrency trading landscape in the UAE and understand how speculators, traders, digital asset exchanges, brokerage businesses and financial institutions operate.
