JUMEIRAH RESTAURANT GROUP DUBAI (JRG Dubai) is the restaurant management company for Jumeirah Group. It operates independent restaurants and bars with an amazing selection of culinary delights from around the world in socially orientated venues that appeal to different tastes, appetites and occasions. Venues including Butcha Hill House Brasserie and The Noodle House. JRG Dubai also operates restaurants via management contracts, joint ventures, white label arrangements and franchise agreements.

About the Job:

Responsible for attending guests by welcoming and seating them. Cater their requirements by taking food and beverage orders, serving food and beverages to customers and attend to customers’ needs. Communicating the orders to the kitchen effectively, memorizing the menu and offering recommendations to upsell appetizers or drinks in line with Jumeirah standards operating procedure

Purpose:

• Greet guests with warm welcome and smile.
• Escort them to their tables.
• Answer inquiries about food and beverage items on the menu.
• Assist guests by explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods, where applicable.
• Be aware of allergy information on menu items and inform guests where needed or inquired
• Take food and beverage orders accurately including any special requests. Inform Kitchen as per the request.
• Use established food handling and serving techniques as per Jumeirah standard.
• Responsible for cashiering service such as generating bills from the MICROS system/ presenting guests with fully supported bills or accounts that can be settled by pay approved method, including, and not limited to advance payment, credit/debit card payments, local and foreign currency.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in English.
• At least 1-2 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a luxury hotel.
• Food and alcohol handling certifications.
