Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately.
- Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments securely.
- Provide receipts and ensure proper bagging of purchased items.
- Greet customers and assist with inquiries about products, pricing, and promotions.
- Maintain an organized and clean checkout area.
- Balance the cash register and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Follow store policies and security procedures to prevent fraud or loss.
- Assist in stocking shelves and organizing displays when needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Provide a friendly and efficient checkout experience to enhance customer satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is a plus.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using POS (Point of Sale) systems and handling cash transactions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume transactions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Retail store, supermarket, restaurant, or service counter setting.
- Requires standing for long periods and handling cash transactions throughout the shift.
- Interaction with customers and team members in a busy environment.
