About The Role

• Greet arriving guests, escort them to their table and provide estimated wait times (if applicable).
• Strive for customer satisfaction by meeting all personal and special requests of guests
• Answer the telephone, speak with anticipated guests that call to inquire about the menu, call ahead seating, wait times, comments/complaints, etc.
• Supervise the team of hostesses which involves, organizing wait times, deciding other hostess duties, and directing them where to seat guests
• Maintain waiting list, reservations, and seating chart for entire restaurant throughout service
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and wellbeing of guests
• Constantly communicate with the Restaurant Manager as well as all front of the house staff
• Training and development of new hostesses
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the Restaurant Manager
• Build relationships with repeat guests to develop and drive guest loyalty and maximize revenues
• Knowledge of the resort and all facilities and offerings including but limited to on-going promotions, special events , etc.
• Maintain all files, logbooks, menus, checks, bill folders, daily newspapers and oversee the hostess desk
• Contribute to a positive food safety culture and comply with the O&O FSMS & Codex HACCP and Dubai Municipality food safety requirements.
• Ensure honesty and integrity in the way tasks are executed and records maintained.
• Report immediately to the immediate supervisor on any concerns that may be observed or realized which may affect food safety.
• Maintain an interest in food safety matters, actively participate in food safety training and be aware of all the control measures and record keeping for which they are directly responsible.
  
  

About You

• Minimum 2 -year experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel or restaurant
• International experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
