Acteon are looking to hire a HR Advisor on a 12 Month Fixed Term Basis. Based at their facility in Abu Dhabi, the HR Advisor will report into the HR Business Partner the main purpose of this role is to be the first point of contact to employees and line managers to provide advice, support, information and guidance on HR and employee relations issues, ensuring HR policies and Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MORHE) rules are followed, and any issues are escalated to the HRBP in a timely manner.


Duties and Main Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, support, information and guidance to employees and managers on HR and employee relations issues, ensuring regional HR policies and management practices comply with the country regulatory requirements to mitigate legal exposure
  • Empower, coach, and enable Managers to take full responsibility for the leadership and management of their teams
  • Quickly respond to requests for help from employees and managers, coaching where possible such that repeat requests are avoided
  • Manage the attraction, acquisition, development, and retention of all employees
  • Working with the HRBP and HR Centre of Excellence team, implement reward and retention programmes
  • Lead audit and visa requirement processes
  • Responsible for running the monthly pay flow files, ensuring all new start information and contractual and benefit changes are captured, before sending to local Finance for processing
  • Provide HR support in confidential meetings including investigations, disciplinaries, absence, probation, and performance discussions
  • Monitor and manage sickness absence levels monthly, escalating if required any potential issues to the Line Managers and HRBP, for visibility
  • Responsible for administrating employee changes, ensuring APP and personnel files are up to date, and any changes are communicated to required parties e.g. Finance and benefits providers
  • Working closely with the Recruitment team, provide advice, support, and guidance to line managers on the Recruitment process

oOnboarding paperwork including offer letter, employment contract and completing any pre-employment screening requirements including right to work checks

oAdministration of benefit schemes and maintenance including ensuring accurate data is recorded in APP for all employees

oEmployee inductions and onboarding activities

oProbationary outcomes

oAmendment to terms and conditions

oAbsence management

oFamily Friendly matters including maternity and paternity leave

oLeaver administration and conducting Exit-Interviews

oMonitoring visa expiration dates and advising in a timely manner

oMonthly data cleanse from APP

oDrafting letters, reports, briefing notes and presentation materials as required in support of the regional HR team

oAnnual HR activities and processes including Salary Review, Bonus Scheme, and renewal exercises

oWorking with line managers to ensure up to date job descriptions exist for all roles

oOccasional travel to other Acteon worksites may be required

oAny other HR activity which may be required


Required

  • Knowledge of UAE labour laws and regulations
  • 3 - 5 years' working in a fast paced, similar role
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Experience working in the Oil and Gas industry
  • HR Systems experience
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management
  • Ideally qualified or part qualified, or the interest to pursue a formal HR professional qualification in the future
