Our client, a global manufacturing company headquartered in Houston, USA, are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join the UAE operations based in Sharjah. Reporting to the EMEA HR Director in the UK, this role will lead the local manufacturing site and head up HR for the whole of the UAE partnering closely with the regional senior leadership team.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective HR strategies that align with business objectives.
- Manage recruitment processes to attract and onboard top talent regionally.
- Spearhead and drive the implementation of new HR systems.
- Facilitate employee development programs and performance management systems to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Provide guidance and support to management in handling employee relations issues, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations while maintaining company policies.
- Conduct regular workforce analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate action plans.
- Promote diversity and inclusion within the workplace through strategic HR initiatives.
- Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs, maintaining competitiveness within the market.
- Prepare and present HR metrics and reports to senior management to inform decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years experience, at least 3-5 years as a HR Manager/leading a HR function, preferably in the oil and gas, construction or related sector.
- Previous experience dealing with a blue collar workforce or within a manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment law in the UAE.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage HR functions with strategic insight.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in HR software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD) is a plus.
