Inspection Engineer - Elevator - Dubai

Job Purpose

The Inspection Engineer is responsible for conducting inspections, testing, and certification of elevators and escalators to ensure compliance with international, national, and local safety standards. The role involves carrying out technical assessments, preparing detailed reports, and supporting clients in achieving regulatory compliance and safe operations. The engineer also plays a key role in promoting safety, quality, and reliability in elevator lifecycle services.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, and verification of elevators, escalators, and lifting equipment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations and local codes.
• Conduct functional, safety, and performance tests on new installations, modernizations, and existing systems.
• Identify and report non-conformities, hazards, and risks.
• Prepare accurate and detailed inspection reports, certificates, and compliance documentation.
• Maintain proper records of inspections and ensure timely submission to clients and authorities.
• Support audits and assist in regulatory approval processes.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and facility managers during inspections.
• Provide technical advice on corrective actions and compliance improvements.
• Assist in resolving client queries regarding inspection results and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the company professionally in all client interactions.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and QHSE policies during all inspection activities.
• Stay updated with evolving codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Participate in internal training, safety programs, and technical workshops.
• Work closely with the operations team to plan and schedule inspections.
• Support senior engineers and managers in special projects or technical reviews.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior staff when required.
  
  

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in elevator inspection, testing, or maintenance.
• Strong understanding of elevator systems, components, and safety requirements.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards local regulations.
• Previous experience in the TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification) industry is an advantage
