- Ensure that the work carried out complies with international construction codes, project specifications, tender, work instructions, procedure and manuals as appropriate.
- Participation in work identification as required.
- Coordinate and liaise with classification society, third party inspection agencies, ship superintendents and other trades, to ensure adherence to related standards.
- Raise occurrence report, develop corrective and preventive action if processes do not meet the specific requirements and ensure that rework is carried out to customer satisfaction.
- Collecting, updating and filing all relevant inspection records.
- Perform NDT methods as per the Work Instructions, project requirements, International codes and Standards.
- Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.
- Attend ant training for any activity required by department.
- Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
- Degree / Diploma in relevant field.
- Quality Control Inspection
- NDT/NDE techniques: ASNT Level II (UT,MT,PT), PCN Level II (UT,MT,PT)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role.
- Plan, perform and carry out inspections in shop and On-board. Accept / Reject / Suggest in case of failures on jobs.
- Qualified ISO 9712 - PCN level II UT (3.1, 3.2, 3.8 & 3.9), MT, PT and ASNT Level 2 (UT, MT, PT, RT).
- Should be conversant with applicable NDE / NDT techniques & standards.
- Knowledge and Experience in ship repair and new building yard.
