Job Description

The role of an Electrical Supervisor is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all electrical systems within an organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a profound understanding of electrical principles, safety regulations, and management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of electricians, coordinating with various departments, and overseeing the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems. As an Electrical Supervisor, one must possess the ability to not only manage and optimize electrical operations but also ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations, promoting a safe and efficient working environment. This role is crucial in maintaining facility operations, thus contributing significantly to the organization's overall productivity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of electricians to ensure optimal performance at all times.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and systems.
• Ensure all electrical activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient electrical operations.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve electrical issues promptly.
• Develop and implement training programs for electricians to enhance their skills.
• Prepare cost estimates and budget reports for electrical projects and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of all electrical work and system modifications.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the electrical maintenance team.
• Monitor inventory levels of electrical supplies and place orders as necessary.
• Coordinate response to and management of emergency electrical situations efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in electrical maintenance or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team of electricians.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
