Job Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of all instrumentation systems that monitor and control the different equipment used in cement production.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance of all instrumentation systems.
• Ensure proper calibration of systems to ensure proper data collection and process control.
• Supervise the operation and functionality of DCS to ensure a smooth production process.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to instrumentation faults and control system errors.
• Work with production and process engineers to finetune control systems for optimal operations.
• Analyze data from instrumentation systems to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all instrumentation activities.
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures.
• Collaborate with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department to address safety concerns and implement necessary improvements.
• Stay updated with industry standards and best practices related to instrumentation and control systems.
• Maintain detailed records of instrument calibration, maintenance schedules, and system performance.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma Instrumentation Engineering.
• 3-5 years of work experience in white/grey cement.
• Understanding of ISO 90001.
• Conversant with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP/ERP.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) for coordination with internal and external stakeholders, as well as planning and organizing skills.
