We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Insurance Coordinator. As an Insurance Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient processing and coordination of insurance claims. Your exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail will be crucial in accurately verifying policy coverage, collecting necessary information, and submitting claims to insurance providers.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately verify policy coverage and eligibility for insurance claims
  • Collect necessary information from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to facilitate claims processing
  • Submit insurance claims electronically or via mail and track their status
  • Follow up on pending claims and outstanding payments in a timely manner
  • Act as a liaison between patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve claim issues
  • Update and maintain accurate records of insurance claims processes and payments in the database
  • Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate coding and billing practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field
  • Proven experience in insurance claims coordination or administration
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures
  • Proficient in using insurance billing software and electronic medical record systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
