International Shipping Operations Lead | UAE

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced International Shipping Operations Lead to oversee and optimize multi-country operational activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a geographically distributed team, ensuring operational excellence, financial control, and seamless client coordination—particularly across the Dubai/UAE market.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership and operational oversight to a team of approximately 5 international operators across multiple locations.
• Manage and control end-to-end operational workflows, ensuring adherence to company standards, timelines, and compliance requirements.
• Oversee PDA handling, funds management, and financial reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
• Supervise all aspects of cargo operations, including coordination, handling, tracking, escalation, and resolution of operational issues.
• Ensure timely and accurate issuance and management of cargo documentation in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders, including in-person meetings when required, particularly in Dubai/UAE.
• Monitor team performance, define KPIs, conduct regular follow-ups, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
• Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Local Agent or HUB Agent in an operational or logistics environment.
• Proven experience in team leadership, preferably managing remote or multi-country teams.
• Strong operational expertise in PDA handling, funds management, cargo operations, and cargo documentation issuance.
• Fluent English is required (spoken and written); additional languages are considered an asset.
• Willingness and availability to travel and meet clients when required, particularly in Dubai/UAE.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, international, and deadline-driven environment.
