OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION: We are offering an opportunity to hospitality students to join the team at Rosewood Abu Dhabi. As Housekeeping Intern you will be gaining on-the-job experience by supporting the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping department and assisting in the implementation of different projects for a period of 6 to 8 months. You will embody the ways we work: intuitive, engaging and refined. Through your efforts, you can make a difference in the experience of our associates, our guests and in our community. This role will require exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. The best candidate will have an engaging manner and understand the importance of delivering intuitive and first-class service. QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience: None. • Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited Hotel Management School. • General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data. • Technical Skills: Ability to type at least 60 words per minute; proficiency with Microsoft Office products; proficiency in the operation of standard office equipment. • Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred. • Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding. • Licenses & Certifications: None
