Job Brief:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory & Store Manager to oversee all inventory, store operations, and procurement activities for a heavy equipment trading company in Dubai Industrial City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory control, vendor management, and team supervision, with a focus on operational excellence and cost-efficiency. Experience in handling spare parts, ERP systems (preferably NetSuite), and automation tools is highly desirable.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Inventory & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of equipment, spare parts, and consumables.
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Monitor stock movement and generate reports on usage, slow-moving, and obsolete items.
- Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and storage of all items in compliance with safety standards.
- Implement automation solutions for the efficient receiving and retrieval of spare parts.
2. Store Operations
- Oversee daily store activities, including receiving, issuing, and dispatching of goods.
- Ensure timely documentation of GRNs, delivery notes, and internal stock transfers.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of store premises.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all store operations.
- Handle counter sales for spare parts and assist walk-in customers as required.
3. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process accurate purchase orders in coordination with internal teams.
- Monitor vendor performance and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers.
- Evaluate new suppliers and products for quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Resolve discrepancies related to deliveries, invoices, or order fulfillment.
4. Team Supervision
- Lead and supervise store in-charges, storekeepers, and helpers.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide training as necessary.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous process improvement.
5. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with procurement, workshop, and operations teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Liaise with suppliers and transporters regarding delivery schedules and logistics issues.
- Provide internal departments with real-time updates on material availability and urgent requests.
- Handle international supplier coordination, including import documentation and timelines.
6. Systems & Documentation
- Operate ERP/inventory management systems (e.g., NetSuite) for real-time stock tracking.
- Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound inventory movements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports including variance analysis.
7. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and local regulatory requirements.
- Implement safety protocols for handling equipment, materials, and hazardous items.
- Investigate and report any inventory incidents, losses, or damages.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory/store/warehouse management, within the heavy equipment or industrial sector.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Zoho.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory control methods, procurement processes, and vendor relations.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and compliance standards in industrial environments.
