IT Project Manager – Infrastructure Transformation

Project Manager- IT Infrastructure will be responsible for delivering all projects for the Group Technology.

The roles spans across the life cycle of complete project management.

• Project Management Planning and Design
• Finalizing the Project scope, Cost and Timelines
• Identifying Risk and challenges across the program
• Regular monitoring and reporting
• Stakeholder management
• Vendor Management

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager or Program Manager, this role primarily acts as an enabler to make sure that all the projects are delivered on time with the agreed scope and budget. The role will have strong co-ordination with the Technology stakeholders, Business Relationship Managers, Architecture and Design team, plus all the other units in the Group Technology Unit.

This role also will have very strong interaction with business relationship management team and other support functions.

The mandate of this role is to make sure that life cycle of program and project management is fully documented and implemented.

The successful candidate must have broad expertise in Technology Infrastructure within banking industry, various business functions, leadership capabilities and team management. The resource should have the ability to deep dive into details as needed. They must be able to work under tight timelines, be self-driven and solution focused. Being able to formulate and articulate ideas clearly is critical, as is the ability to solve specific issues. Building strong partnerships with the different business stakeholders.

• Very strong background and extensive experience of Infrastructure Transformation programs
• Expert in Data Centre, Compute, Storage, Virtualization & IT Networks
• Successful track record of managing projects more than AED 1 Mn+

• Understanding the purpose and objectives of the program
• Gather detailed requirements in coordination with various stakeholders
• Ability to plan effectively to be detailed task level
• Adopting to accelerated delivery using agile methodologies, where feasible.
• Ensure project delivery within time, cost, and quality constraints
• Very strong reporting skills
• Producing the deliverables/products to agreed specifications
• Track key project deliverables/products.
• Coordinate with various Technology teams and ensure on time project delivery
• Identifying and actively managing issues and risks associated with the project
• Ensure successful and effective communication
• Coordinate with various vendors for hardware delivery and installation
• Ensure Vendor deliveries are on time
• Banking experience preferred but not mandatory
  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Knowledge & Experience:

• Good understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, with 10+ years of experience in Project Management.
• Strong understanding of managing Infrastructure Transformation programs.
• Proficient in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vision and Project)
• Good experience of working in matrix organization
• Proficient in Tools such as Clarity, Jira and Confluence
  
  

Skills

• Strong technical knowledge on IT infrastructure concepts
• Excellent communication (verbal & written) and documentation skills
• Strong reporting and communication skills.
• Certifications such as PMP would be an added advantage
