Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT/OT Architect to join our team and lead the implementation of integrated IT and OT solutions to enhance the manufacturing processes.

You Will Be Accountable For

• System Design and Architecture: Design and implement robust IT/OT architectures that integrate seamlessly with our manufacturing processes. This includes defining the structure, components, modules, interfaces, and data for systems to meet specified requirements to support real-time and historical data processing.
• Technology Evaluation: Assess and select appropriate technologies and tools for the development and implementation of IT/OT solutions. Assess and select technologies for IT/OT convergence, including edge computing, industrial IoT platforms, and cloud-native services. Stay updated with the latest technological trends and innovations.
• Integration: Ensure seamless integration of IT systems with operational technology (OT) systems, including SCADA, PLCs, and MES, to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Data Modeling and Analytics Enablement: Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to support deployment of machine learning models both on-prem (edge) and in the cloud.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and developers, to ensure that the architecture aligns with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation that outlines the architecture, design decisions, and implementation strategies, serving as a reference for future development and maintenance.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that the architecture meets quality standards and adheres to best practices in software development and system integration.
• Security: Implement robust security measures to protect both IT and OT systems from cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Project Management: Lead and manage IT/OT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
  
  

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT/OT architecture, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong expertise in both IT and OT systems, including SCADA, PLCs, MES, and ERP platforms. Demonstrated experience in developing and integrating applications using Cloud preferred Microsoft Azure, with a focus on ingesting, processing, and analyzing OT data from industrial sources (e.g., sensors, PLCs, SCADA). Proficient in programming languages and frameworks relevant to industrial automation and cloud-based analytics.
• Familiarity with Data science and edge computing architectures, model lifecycle management, and edge/cloud deployment strategies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges in integrating IT and OT systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale IT/OT projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to safeguard IT and OT systems.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and industry trends.
• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, Microsoft Azure Architect or certifications in specific IT/OT technologies.
• Familiarity with the metal manufacturing industry and its specific IT/OT requirements.
