About The Role
We’re looking for a Junior Sustainability & Waste Management Consultant to join our team and help shape sustainable design and construction practices. In this role, you’ll work on a diverse range of projects from residential towers to mixed-use developments focusing on waste management strategies, design recommendations, and compliance documentation. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that waste handling systems are designed correctly (waste room layouts, chute provisions, access routes) and that construction and operational waste is tracked, segregated, and diverted from landfill in line with Estidama, LEED, and local regulations (e.g., Tadweer guidelines).
This is an ideal role for someone passionate about sustainability but who wants to specialize in waste and resource management while building expertise in green building certifications.
Roles And Responsibilities
Education:
Bachelor's in environmental science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
1–3 years in waste management, construction environmental compliance, or sustainability consulting.
At least 1 year of exposure to design-stage waste planning (waste room layouts, chute systems, etc.) OR construction waste tracking.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Advise on waste management design requirements (storage room sizing, chute systems, signage, and labelling).
- Review and comment on architectural layouts to ensure waste facilities are correctly sized and accessible.
- Coordinate with design teams and authorities to align with Estidama and LEED standards, as well as local waste regulations.
- Support the preparation of Construction Waste Management Plans (CWMPs) and Operational Waste Management Plans (OWMPs).
- Monitor waste generation and segregation on active project sites and report diversion rates.
- Conduct site audits to verify waste segregation, signage, and disposal practices are being implemented.
- Provide training sessions to contractors and site staff on waste segregation protocols.
- Assist with documentation for Estidama credits and LEED credits.
- Understand the basics of LEED and Estidama and how waste strategies contribute to certification points.
- Compile data for monthly and final sustainability reports, supporting submissions to clients and authorities.
- Stay informed on circular economy initiatives, material reuse strategies, and evolving waste regulations.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and development of best practices for waste reduction.
Education:
Bachelor's in environmental science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
1–3 years in waste management, construction environmental compliance, or sustainability consulting.
At least 1 year of exposure to design-stage waste planning (waste room layouts, chute systems, etc.) OR construction waste tracking.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Basic understanding of LEED and Estidama certifications and how waste management supports credits.
- Strong knowledge of waste streams (construction, organic, recyclable, hazardous).
- Ability to interpret design drawings to advise on waste provisions.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Well versed in Auto-Cad
- LEED Green Associate
- Experience liaising with local waste authorities (e.g., Tadweer).
- Familiarity with circular economy or zero-waste strategies.
- Gain hands-on experience shaping waste strategies for high-profile projects across multiple sectors.
- Work alongside a team of experienced sustainability and waste management specialists.
