Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Laundry Attendant to join our team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and garment care for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, experience in operating laundry machinery, and knowledge of laundry procedures. You will be responsible for washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens, uniforms, and other laundry items efficiently while maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, press, and fold hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry items according to specific washing instructions and fabric care.
• Identify stains and treat them appropriately using the correct cleaning agents and techniques to avoid damage.
• Operate industrial washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to established procedures.
• Inspect all laundered items for quality and ensure they are clean, properly pressed, and free of stains or damage before folding and storage.
• Monitor and maintain laundry supplies (detergents, softeners, chemicals) and report any shortages to the supervisor for timely replenishment.
• Keep accurate records of laundry loads, chemicals used, and inventory managed.
• Handle guest laundry requests, ensuring items are laundered, returned in a timely manner, and meet the hotel's quality standards.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of laundry equipment and work areas, ensuring everything is in working condition and complies with safety regulations.
• Follow hotel policies and safety guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work closely with the housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure smooth operations and address any urgent laundry needs.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Laundry Attendant in a hotel, resort, or similar environment.
• Proficiency in operating laundry equipment (washing machines, dryers, ironing machines, steamers).
• Strong understanding of different fabrics, laundry chemicals, and cleaning techniques.
• Must be able to lift heavy loads of laundry, stand for extended periods, and work in a hot environment.
• Ability to identify stains and damages in linens and clothing, ensuring all laundered items meet high-quality standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and complete laundry loads efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
• Polite and professional when interacting with guests and handling their laundry requests.
