AtkinsRéalis is looking for an Lead Quantity Surveyor with CostX experience. To lead our successful pre-contract and measurement team across the Abu Dhabi we are now seeking to add an MRICS Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established professional team, committed to technical integrity, innovation and development of its people.

  • Extensive MEP/Utilities Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management experience in the following scope: all primary utilities, such as, high-voltage electrical power distribution networks, including substations,132kV cabling etc, primary water infrastructure, extensive pipeline networks, pumping stations and lifting stations, district cooling infrastructure and sewerage treatment plants
  • Experience of working on major master planning and infrastructure programmes.
  • Extensive estimating and cost planning experience; feasibility, concept, schematic and detailed design, pre-tender estimates
  • Bills of Quantities preparation management (NRM1/2, CESMM3/4)
  • Value Engineering and benchmarking
  • Monthly cost reports
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Risk management
  • Contract interpretation and application (FIDIC)
  • General post contract administration experience
  • Evaluate claims in relation to quantum in co-ordination with the Engineer
  • Evaluate and negotiate variations and final accounts with contractors

Must Have:

  • MRICS or APC candidate who anticipates to complete chartership within a specified period, or equivalent
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, or similar, from a recognised university
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of UAE/Middle East/international experience preferred
  • Must have consultant and/or client background for minimum of 10 years
  • Manage a medium sized teams (more than 5) to enable deliverables
  • Resource management and planning
  • Knowledge in the use of CAD, QS software Cost X or similar is preferred
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Manage meetings and present cost plans and reports
  • Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills
