Role Description
This is a remote part-time or full-time (freelancer) role for a Lebanese Arabic Annotator at Aralects. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful product, gain valuable work experience, and collaborate with a diverse and passionate team of linguists, developers, and AI researchers.
We are looking for a detail-oriented language enthusiast who is passionate about Lebanese Arabic and its unique cultural nuances. The role focuses on annotation tasks to support the development of cutting-edge AI models for teaching Lebanese Arabic effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Annotate text, audio, and other data related to Lebanese Arabic for various language tasks, such as transcription, translation, and sentiment analysis.
- Collaborate with the Aralects team to ensure high-quality language resources for Lebanese Arabic learners.
- Assist in refining the linguistic accuracy of AI-generated outputs in Lebanese Arabic.
- Native proficiency in Lebanese Arabic.
- A background in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Strong understanding of Lebanese Arabic grammar, vocabulary, idioms, and cultural nuances.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new annotation tools, software, and workflows. Familiarity with basic tech tools and platforms (e.g., Google Sheets) is a plus.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
