We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Vendor Payments Coordinator to manage and oversee payment and collection processes with our African vendors. This role is crucial for ensuring timely payments, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting smooth operations.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in vendor management, payments coordination, or finance operations.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with ability to work across multiple geographies.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
Ability to work independently and under pressure with strict deadlines.
Maintain and update a centralized Payment Matrix covering all African vendors.
Communicate regularly with vendors to confirm invoices, due dates, and payment instructions.
Develop and manage a weekly Payment Schedule aligned with vendor agreements.
Monitor account balances, plan fund allocation, and coordinate with finance for fund transfers.
Track collections and follow up with the collections team to ensure timely receipt of funds.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management, including payment status, outstanding invoices, and funds forecast.
Escalate payment issues, disputes, or delays promptly to management.
