Job Purpose
To support the Secondary Transportation team in optimizing logistics planning through the development of a digital transportation planning application/system. The intern will work on streamlining route planning, vehicle utilization, and delivery efficiency, contributing to a broader supply chain digitization initiative. This role offers hands-on experience in logistics operations, digital transformation, and cross-functional collaboration within a leading FMCG environment.

Job Purpose
To support the Secondary Transportation team in optimizing logistics planning through the development of a digital transportation planning application/system. The intern will work on streamlining route planning, vehicle utilization, and delivery efficiency, contributing to a broader supply chain digitization initiative. This role offers hands-on experience in logistics operations, digital transformation, and cross-functional collaboration within a leading FMCG environment.
What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be
- Support the design and development of a digital transportation planning tool/system for Secondary Distribution.
- Collaborate with supply chain, IT, and 3PL partners to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyze current transportation planning processes and identify gaps or inefficiencies.
- Assist in mapping end-to-end secondary delivery flows and vehicle deployment schedules.
- Help digitize key planning inputs such as order profiles, route maps, load plans, and truck assignments.
- Conduct data analysis to support route optimization and cost-efficiency improvements.
- Participate in testing and validation of the developed system with real-time operational data.
- Prepare regular updates, reports, and presentations on project progress and findings.
- Support change management activities including training material preparation and user onboarding.
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) or logistics systems is a plus
- Basic understanding of logistics and transportation planning concept
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actions.
- Digital Curiosity: Passionate about digital transformation and eager to learn new technologies and tools.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate across teams and present ideas confidently.
